BBC Philanthropies Supports Global Concert for Equitable COVID 19 Response

Join the Global Community on Saturday, June 27th at 8 PM ET for Global Goal: Unite for our Future-The Concert, a worldwide virtual event med at combating the disproportionate impact of COVID-19 on marginalized communities across the globe. Through Bloomberg Philanthropies' support, we are joining forces to amplify the campgn and advocate for equitable distribution of COVID-19 tests, treatments, and vaccines that cater to everyone in need.

Bloomberg TV and various international platforms will broadcast this special concert live at 8:00 PM ET on Saturday, uniting artists, celebrities, government leaders, business magnates, and activists who are working tirelessly to combat the pandemic. The lineup features performances from renowned talents like Chloe x Halle, Christine and the Queens, Coldplay, J Balvin, Jennifer Hudson, J’N Bridges with Gustavo Dudamel, Los Angeles Philharmonic YOLA Youth Orchestra Los Angeles, Justin Bieber and Quavo, Lin-Manuel Miranda along with select members of the Original Broadway Production of Hamilton featuring Jimmy Fallon The Roots, Miley Cyrus, Shakira, Usher, Yemi Alade, and others.

The concert celebrate the innovators, scientists, health workers, activists, and organizations that have stepped forward during this pandemic. It will highlight their efforts in developing and distributing vital COVID-19 tools worldwide, ensuring no one is left behind.

This concert supports Global Citizen's Global Goal: Unite for our Future campgn, backed by Bloomberg Philanthropies. The initiative focuses on addressing the pandemic's disproportionate impact on vulnerable communities, advocating for a future that respects freedom and justice for all. We encourage individuals, governments, corporate leaders, and philanthropists to take actions towards fr distribution of COVID-19 solutions so that every person has access.

In April 2020, Bloomberg Philanthropies joined forces with Global Citizen agn by committing $8 million to the World Health Organization's WHO Solidarity Response Fund. This donation directly ds healthcare workers globally in obtning necessary protective equipment like masks and gloves and provides them with essential information and trning for detection and treatment of affected patients. The fund also supports efforts in tracking and studying virus spread, accelerating development of treatments, vaccines, tests, and producing guidelines to prevent the spread among the public.

Michael Bloomberg's commitment is part of Bloomberg Philanthropies' COVID-19 Response Initiatives launched in March. These initiatives are designed to empower public health professionals, local leaders, and communities worldwide with necessary tools for protection agnst this virus while mitigating potential economic and social damage that could make the crisis more severe.

To date, Bloomberg Philanthropies has allocated $331 million towards combating COVID-19 and supporting our partners through unprecedented challenges.
