As Jaap van Zweden approaches the of his role as Music Director of the New York Philharmonic, he and the ensemble will make a historic return to mnland China for their first concert tour since 2019. This visit includes five performances across three major cities - Guangzhou, Nanjing, and Shangh - featuring symphonies by Brahms, Copland, and Mozart; Mahler songs with distinguished baritone Thomas Hampson; and the world premiere of a work by Nina Shekhar. This tour is not only about musical exchange but also includes extensive educational activities med at enriching students' understanding through interaction.
