Lunar New Year Celebration: A Splid Cultural Affr
Celebrating the Lunar New Year is a rich and vibrant tradition that brings together diverse communities in celebration of history, culture, artistry, and the hope for prosperity. Our esteemed committee, led by Wy Yun Chen, Shau-w Marie Lam, Margaret Lam, Eva Lerner-Lam, Zhenqqui Kevin Li, Ruth Lipper, Grace Liu Anderson, Yin Long, Sophie Mu, Tammy Peng, Rebecca Shen Dennis Chu, Sunny Wang, Ming Yang, and Ray Zeng, has orchestrated an unforgettable event to honor this ancient celebration.
Yue Bao's exceptional leadership as our conductor alongside Tony Siqi Yun's captivating piano performance forms the backbone of musical excellence. The breathtaking performances by the Peking University Alumni Chorus, complemented by the mesmerizing Lion Dance from Edison Chinese School and the elegant music of New Jersey Symphony Orchestra, bring the essence of Lunar New Year to life.
The pre-concert festival is a highlight featuring diverse cultural expressions curated by Eastern Cultural Exchange Association alongside crafting stations provided by Zhejiang Provincial Cultural Center. The festive atmosphere sets the stage for the arrival of the Year of the Dragon - a symbol that embodies power, prosperity, and good fortune.
